High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

George Hill (at MIN – $5,700): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. Hill had 26.9 fantasy points against the Raptors. He’s the best point guard on the team, even if Colin Sexton is the future and Jordan Clarkson thinks he’s Kobe Bryant. The Timberwolves remain a mess and have an untrustworthy defense. Hill can score and chip in with assists. Diagnosis: Good matchup and a fairly reliable player. Has shown inconsistencies, but settles in nicely on the Cavaliers.

Spencer Dinwiddie (vs NY – $5,500): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. I’m starting to believe that Dinwiddie is the best player on the Nets. Maybe it’s a little too early to make that claim, but he was very good last season and he was very good on opening night. The Knicks played well against the Hawks, but that was the Hawks. Dinwiddie plays big minutes coming off the bench and can dominate opposing second units. Diagnosis: High upside, but if D’Angelo Russell finally comes around, it might hurt is value. The matchup is good.

Terry Rozier (at TOR – $4,700): Needs 20.2 fantasy points Now playing a bench role, Rozier isn’t as valuable as he was during the playoffs last season. But he’s still a very good player who is going to get minutes and opportunities alongside top players and against opposing bench units. He played well against the Raptors last season, averaging 30.5 fantasy points in four games. He came off the bench in two of those contests. Diagnosis: Rozier has the ability to be a game-changer against the Raptors and I like him at the low salary.
