What we learned, what we took away and what the future holds for the women of WWE following Sunday night’s historic Evolution pay-per-view event.

It was a big night at the Nassau Coliseum on Sunday as WWE Evolution made history as the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view event, and what an event it was.

First announced months ago, it was hard to know what to expect from WWE Evolution. With a mix of past, present and future superstars, the hype was on (especially given the build for this event) and I have to say that for the most part, the women of WWE lived up to that hype and put on an entertaining show.

There were three titles on the line on Sunday night. RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey took on former Divas Champion Nikki Bella, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch battled Charlotte Flair in the first-ever Last Woman Standing Match and the NXT Women’s Championship was also defended as Kairi Sane defended against former champ Shayna Baszler.

The finals of the 2018 edition of the Mae Young Classic also took place on Sunday with Toni Storm vs. Io Shirai, both of whom are going to be big stars, we had the big battle royal with a future title opportunity on the line and there were also some big tag matches on the docket. The Riott Squad took on the trio of Bayley, Sasha Banks and Natalya and the night got underway in nostalgic fashion as Mickie James and Alicia Fox took on WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita.

Let’s get into the action from WWE Evolution.
