A battle of deathmatch-prone allies, a challenge for Contra and everything else you need to know about the upcoming April 20, 2019 episode of MLW Fusion.

After last week’s adventures in the Hart Foundation vs. Dynasty feud and the Promociones Dorado vs. All Unaffiliated Babyface-Types drama, MLW Fusion returns with what promises to be some dramatic matches this week.

In a somewhat surprising but not unwelcome development, the Lucha Brothers (Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix) return to MLW this week to take on Air Wolf and Rey Horus in a tag team match. Horus has faced off with both of these extremely prolific brothers in singles and tag team action before and the presence of relatively-inexperienced Wolf sticks out here. The young high-flyer looked good in his MLW debut last month, and it’ll be interesting to see how he fares in the ring with these stylistically-similar competitors.

When we last saw Contra Unit in an MLW ring they attempted — and it cannot be emphasized enough — to set three guys on fire in the Battle Riot. Now Ace Romero, the first person they attacked in this promotion, has a match against Josef Samael for revenge. It seems unlikely this won’t end with violent shenanigans from Samael’s buddies, but hopefully, we get to see Romero break out some of his terrifying hoss moves before then.

The show’s main event is Sami Callihan vs. Mance Warner and the reason this is different from the match they would probably have in GCW or CZW (if Callihan hadn’t quit) or had semi-recently in AAW is that last week these two became unlikely allies against Promociones Dorado. That means it’s probably less likely this will feature some kind of run-in than the previously described Samael vs. Romero, but a run-in or post-match beatdown orchestrated by Salina de la Renta still seems like a possibility.

In probably-not-wrestling news, MLW asks fans “What type of mischief has The Hart Foundation caused in MJF’s rental car?” and tells us we will “find out in a special 4/20 edition of H2tv,” so expect the title of FanSided’s recap of this episode to be “Dude, Where’s My Car?”
