2. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal all win as top four race goes to final day

Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all vying for the final top four spot with very little separating the three teams. Tottenham have not necessarily secured third place but if they can secure four points from their remaining two games then they will wrap that up.

That means that the two other London clubs and Manchester United are fighting for that crucially important fourth place finish which will give them the opportunity to reach the Champions League group stages next season.

Arsenal and Chelsea both have an opportunity to qualify for next season’s Champions League via their Europa League campaigns. The two sides could potentially face off in the final and if they were to then one of them is guaranteed Champions League soccer next season.

All three of these teams have very winnable games this weekend as well. Manchester United travel to relegated Huddersfield while Chelsea host Watford and Arsenal welcome Brighton to the Emirates.

That should mean wins for all three sides which would take the race for the top four into the final day of the season. United and Arsenal’s prospective victories seem quite likely but the only debatable result is Chelsea’s match with Watford.

Watford have been great this season under the guidance of Javi Gracia. The Spaniard has only improved on Marco Silva’s work at the club and the soccer that they play is a joy to watch. The only thing that may let them down this weekend is players not wanting to get injured because of their upcoming cup final.

That’s not to say that the Watford players will not be committed as they’ll all be desperate to start the cup final. However, Chelsea have so much more to play for in this match and that will be evident as they run out 4-1 winners.
