Fantasy football ADP check: Players being over-drafted

3. Josh Jacobs, ADP 3.10

Every year there is a rookie who is drafted relatively early in the NFL Draft who becomes the darling of fantasy football players – without playing a single NFL snap. It seems Josh Jacobs is that player this year.

Sure, his path to touches seems unencumbered, particularly since Isaiah Crowell went down with a season-ending injury and there are not many other options on the roster. But still, rookies don’t always pan out. Players taken in the third round of fantasy drafts should be those you are certain can be relied upon, and taking a rookie that early is a recipe for disaster.

That he is on a team Vegas projects to win six games should convince you to go another direction. Even if he plays well, the Raiders will be behind a lot, limiting his rushing upside.
