Residual spookiness
Last week, Killer Kelly gave a backstage interview where she intimated that she was about to go pick a fight with — or maybe murder — Isla Dawn in order to get herself booked in a match. Apparently, what she really did was just follow Dawn to politely ask her for a match, because Dawn looks perfectly fine, unscathed for this contest. Honestly, they should have thrown this match on last week’s not-a-Halloween episode! A killer versus a witch, nothing spookier.

This is Killer Kelly’s first match since June, following a knee injury, and she seems to have a little momentum working for her. Nothing says “getting a push” like giving a scary backstage interview and having Tom Phillips confirm on-air that he is afraid of you. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, they don’t call NXT UK the land of confusing build-ups for nothing. In tribute to Oliver Carter, Killer Kelly goes from hyped up to loser in precisely three seconds. She executes some twisted tactics — pulling on Dawn’s eyelids at one point — gives a terrifying black grin with her mouth guard, makes some guttural noises and even gets a shout out for her Charles Bukowski tattoo. Alas, Isla Dawn casts a spell or something, suddenly hitting a bridging suplex out of a counter to get the win.
