DraftKings NBA picks March 9: Bledsoe and Middleton to win
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Point Guards:
Best Bets:
Trae Young ($10,300): Trae still didn’t look himself on Saturday after missing Friday with an illness. Hopefully he’s back to normal tonight because this is a plus matchup against Charlotte. Young put up 52 DraftKings points on them in the first meeting. This is a great spot to use him and my guess is that Trae will be a little closer to normal than on Saturday.
Kyle Lowry ($8,400): Lowry has back to back games over 50 DraftKings points. It’s not a coincidence that it has happened against teams with tougher interior defenses and with VanVleet out. That is the case again tonight. Utah has struggled against guards and has been strong up front. Lowry is probably more of a sure thing than Trae tonight so long as VanVleet is out again.
Honorable Mention:
Devonte Graham ($6,400): You can pay the premium for Rozier, but why? Graham has been better when both are healthy and he put up 36 DraftKings points in the first game against Atlanta. This game stack is going to be a popular play on such a small slate and PG is loaded. My recommendation is to pick a couple of choice plays from each game. Graham is one of mine from this game. He’s way too cheap.
Eric Bledsoe ($5,700): Bledsoe had a solid 31.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Denver. That was with Giannis healthy. Bledsoe’s numbers have been big every time with Giannis out. He hit 43.75 last night against Phoenix. I would expect him at at least 7x value again tonight. I don’t care if ownership is 80%. Don’t fade this. Get separation elsewhere.UPDATE: Bledsoe is doubtful, so switch to DiVincenzo or Sterling Brown if he starts.
Dark Horses:
Mike Conley ($5,300): Conley has no upside, but he doesn’t really need it if he’s flirting with 30 DraftKings points every night. Conley had a strong 30.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Toronto. Conley’s floor is in the mid 20’s, which is great for cash games. The issue here is that Bledsoe is only $400 more and the upside is through the roof. Conley is for low ownership, mainly.
