Best Pick: Van Jefferson, WR, Florida

Jefferson will be able to add a new dimension to the Rams defense from the slot. He is a versatile, fast player that will likely make big plays in 2020. The team addressed a position of need without Brandin Cooks in the mix, and they hit the nail on the head with Jefferson. He is going to be a stud in the NFL, and a probable Pro Bowl player.

Offensive genius Sean McVay will likely find creative ways to get the ball into Jefferson’s hands, and he should be viewed as a day one impact player.

Worst Pick: Brycen Hopkins, TE, Purdue

The tight end depth in this year’s draft wasn’t great. For some reason, the Rams still found it necessary to take one in the middle rounds. Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett aren’t great players, but Hopkins isn’t either. He may still be the third best tight end in Los Angeles.

While this was a pick with depth and a position of need in mind, it was the wrong one to make.
