Fantasy Football winners and losers after the NFL Draft

Fantasy Football Loser: Marlon Mack
Despite putting up career-highs in rushing yards, Mack’s spot with the Colts seems to be in trouble. And it seemed that way since he broke his hand last year, and Jonathan Williams replaced him with no problem – 220 of his 329 career rushing yards came when he became the lead back in Mack’s absence.
Clearly, Mack is replaceable, and the Colts seem to think so, too, after trading up and drafting Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor in the second round.
Taylor had back-to-back 2,000-yard rushing yard seasons the last two years. His 2,194 rushing yards with the most in the FBS in 2018, while his 2,003 last season were tied for the third-most.
It looks like Taylor and Mack will be a committee to start, but with the drafting of Taylor, Mack’s job as RB1 is definitely over. Mack is no third-down back either – he had just 17 targets in 14 games last year, the lowest per-game total of his NFL career.
Mack, of course, is in the final year of his rookie deal, so his long-term future is certainly in question, too.
Good thing I traded him for Mark Andrews in my dynasty league (smiley face) (also have since traded away Andrews for a loser you’ll see soon).
