Las Vegas Raiders sign Logan Ryan

The Raiders defense need that one player in the secondary who has a nose for the football. They can acquire that guy by signing Logan Ryan.

Ryan was third in the league with 18 passes defended in 2019. He trailed only New England’s Stephon Gilmore (20) and Tampa Bay’s Carlton Davis (19). Ryan also intercepted four passes and forced four fumbles. He was definitely an impact player on a Tennessee Titans team that made it all the day down to the AFC Championship Game.

In Las Vegas, Ryan could be that difference maker that steals a few games for the Raiders. Playing inside a division where they will face the 2018 league MVP and 2019 Super Bowl MVP in Patrick Mahomes II, the Raiders need a special player in their secondary. Ryan would wreak havoc and be perfect for a team head coached by Jon Gruden.

Ryan is definitely the type of player they want their young corners Damon Arnette and Trayvon Mullen to learn from. While the Raiders recently acquire Prince Amukamara, they should not let that deter them from signing Ryan. Going into the season three corners deep with Ryan, Amukamara and Mullen works. Raiders would have flexibility with Mullen as he could play opposite to Ryan on the outside or in the slot with Amukamara on the outside.

There’s no question Ryan makes this defense better and gives them the potential to be the fiercest defense in the AFC West.
