5. Underrated Raiders: Clem Daniels, Running Back

During their AFL days, the Raiders had some of the best talents in the league, and no player was more important to them than running back Clem Daniels. After coming over in a trade with the Dallas Texans, Daniels became the feature back for the Silver and Black, eventually leading them to an AFL title.

Throughout his seven years with the team, Daniels took home a ton of hardware, including being named an AFL All-Star four times, and eventually earning a spot on the All-Time team. The AFL Most Valuable Player in 1963, Daniels led the AFL in rushing yards that season, rushing for over 1,000 yards for the first, and only time in his career.

Despite being named to a handful of other Hall of Fames, Daniels was never enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, despite his contributions to the AFL, and the Raiders organization. Still, he is beloved in terms of Raider Nation and remains the organization’s third-leading rusher of all-time with 5,103 yards.
