1. N’Keal Harry

The Patriots spent a first round draft pick in 2019 with the hopes that he could develop into one of Tom Brady’s top targets. He missed out on that chance with a very mediocre rookie season, but now he has a chance to develop into one of Newton’s most important wideouts.

Harry’s size is a really good fit for a quarterback with Newton’s accuracy issues. His ability to use his body to shield defenders and pluck the ball out of the air with his long arms gives his quarterback a larger than normal margin for error.

New England really needs the light bulb to come on for Harry in 2020. He’s the only projected starting receiver with the size to really help Newton out when his throws are off-target. Edelman and Sanu can both be effective in this offense, but neither lists stature or size as one of their strengths.

Harry doesn’t turn into a Pro Bowler to help New England’s offense function at a high level. Instead, he needs to strike fear in the hearts of opposing secondaries with his ability to go up and make catches in traffic. If he can draw double teams on any kind of regular basis, it’s going to make the Patriots’ offense very difficult to stop. Newton’s dynamic play at quarterback gives him a chance to take a huge step forward in 2020.
