NCAA Rumors: 5 transfer destinations for Trey Lance
By Mike Luciano
Former Boise State head coach Chris Petersen turned the Huskies from an inconsistent laughing stock into one of the best teams in the Pac-12 year after year, and their success should continue even though Petersen retired and was replaced by defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake. His first order of business will be deciding on a quarterback, as rocket-armed gunslinger Jacob Eason was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts.
Rather than declare wither Jacob Sirmon or Dylan Morris the new QB1 in Seattle, Lake should try to convince Lance to come to Husky Stadium and take over the starting job. Now that Justin Herbert has left Oregon for the NFL, it’s not unreasonable to declare the Huskies as the favorites in the Pac-12 if they are able to figure out the quarterback situation. Lance’s ability to drive the ball deep downfield while also getting the ball out in rhythm to one of Washington’s stable of electric slot receivers will serve him well in John Donovan’s offense.
