College football DFS quarterback picks October 3:

Top Tier:

K.J. Costello may get some rest and ice his arm once the Bulldogs are up four touchdowns in the second half, but I’d still bet he leads the slate in points on the way to getting there. The ownership will be high, but this is a very dangerous fade. You have to hit everything else right, and if this somehow manages to stay close, I doubt you’ll have a shot at a takedown even then.

I like Spencer Rattler here too since Oklahoma is going to have to throw by default. Our run game has been a disappointment. That much volume for Rattler makes him a solid pick if you can build a decent lineup while still sinking $18k into quarterbacks.

Middle Tier:

Tulsa’s defense has looked good so far, but they haven’t faced a quarterback the caliber of Dillon Gabriel. If the Dust Devils can keep this close, Gabriel will likely be the second highest scorer on this slate.

Do you think Myles Brennan is better than Kellen Mond? He has better receivers, but Vandy managed to shut down the more mobile Mond. This could be a solid spot for Brennan, but there is a lot of risk involved with an unproven quarterback. Still, the Vandy can stop the run the way they did last week, Brennan has a shot at a heavy workload.

We all watched what Skyler Thompson did to the Oklahoma defense. Brock Purdy is a better quarterback with arguably better weapons around him. He is underpriced here. Purdy could be in for a big game in Ames.

Bargain Shoppers:

Ken Seals is an interesting option at superflex. He kept Vandy in the game against A&M as a true freshman. I think the scheme and the veteran QB caught LSU off guard. Don’t expect a big game from Seals, but he may approach 20 DraftKings points at a very low price.

I’m done with Feleipe Franks, but he’s out there if you want him. He comes in as the cheapest starting QB and the Mississippi State defense isn’t great. There is potential here, but there is also potential that he could lose you points
