3. Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets have plenty of young, moldable players like Devonte’ Graham, Miles Bridges, PJ Washington, Dwayne Bacon and the Martin twins. What they don’t have, and what they notably lack, is a bona fide franchise star.

This is one of the worst drafts in recent memory to try and find one, but if the Hornets see someone they really like at the top of the draft board, it may be worth their while to trade up two spots from their own selection at No. 3.

If that’s the case, even something as simple as throwing in Miles Bridges or a future first-round draft pick may be enough to get the Wolves to bite.

Depending on who you ask, that might be too much to move up a few spots in a draft without a consensus, franchise-altering star waiting at the top, but the Hornets should be more desperate than almost any other NBA team to gamble on finding such a player.

For the Wolves, they snag either a young wing like Bridges or a future first, all while moving down only two spots and avoiding all the pressure that comes with selecting first overall. Unless they really like someone over the rest of the field, that sounds like a win-win.
