Patrick Mahomes knocked out of Browns game with scary concussion

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is out for the remainder of the game after suffering a concussion against the Cleveland Browns.
The Kansas City Chiefs were rolling at the start of the second half, holding a 19-3 lead over the Cleveland Browns. But they did so with quarterback Patrick Mahomes dealing with a turf toe issues. Things didn’t get any better for the Super Bowl 54 MVP.
In the third quarter, Mahomes ran on a third-and-one situation but was met with a tackle by Browns linebacker Mack Wilson. Mahomes was brought down by the neck, and he could barely get up off the turf. Mahomes would enter the blue tent on the Chiefs sideline before running to the locker room to receive further evaluation.

Over three minutes into the fourth quarter, the Chiefs ruled Mahomes out for the remainder of the game with a concussion. Veteran backup Chad Henne will assume the starting duties for the remainder of the contest.
Prior to the exiting, Mahomes had completed 21-of-30 pass attempts for 255 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 14 yards and a score on three carries.
Losing Mahomes to an injury is the worst-case scenario for the Chiefs and their quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions. If the Chiefs hold on to beat the Browns, they’ll hope Mahomes can return for the AFC Championship Game against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
