Dak Prescott honors late mother with cancer research fund
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has made quite the move this Mother’s Day, honoring his late mom with a new cancer research fundraiser.
Family means the world to Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott. He’s made that quite clear throughout his young career. Unfortunately, he’s lost his brother and mother, and it’s been tough for the star signal-caller.
You know that Sunday is tough for Prescott, as he’s not able to spend time with his mom on Mother’s Day. Still, Prescott is showering her with love, doing so in a very special way. That’s because Prescott has decided to honor her with a new cancer research fundraiser.
Dak Prescott has set up a new cancer research fund to honor his late mom
Prescott’s mom, Peggy, unfortunately lost her battle with colon cancer back in 2013. Since then, it’s not only been difficult for Prescott knowing she’s no longer with him, but it has also inspired him to help out with research.
That’s why he’s hoping to raise $50,000 for cancer research this time around. You know this movement holds a special place in his heart, as he is 100 percent doing this while thinking about his mother.
Prescott continues to rehab from his fractured ankle but has made monster improvements this offseason. The expectation is that he’ll be all set to rock for Week 1 of the 2021 campaign. For the Cowboys, they’ll of course welcome him back with open arms, as the team looked totally lost on offense without him for most of 2020.
When Prescott does return to action, he’ll do so while hoping to make Cowboys fans proud and also put on a show for his mom. He knows she’s no question watching from above any time he suits up for Dallas on Sundays.
