With Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid listed as doubtful for Game 5 against Washington, fans are having a meltdown on social media.

Some rough news has arrived for the Philadelphia 76ers, as Joel Embiid’s knee issues are acting up again right in the middle of the postseason. Per ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Embiid will undergo an MRI on his knee and he’s now doubtful to play in Game 5 to face Washington.

With Philadelphia up 3-1 in their series going up against the Wizards, the team’s chances of closing things out sure will take a hit it Embiid doesn’t hit the floor. This is something Philadelphia supporters are quite aware of.

76ers supporters are beyond sad that Joel Embiid will likely miss Game 5

A quick look on Twitter let’s you know just how bummed those 76ers fans are. While Embiid is a terrific player, his personality and energy takes his game to a whole new level. This is something the team will indeed miss come Game 5.

There’s no denying the 76ers are a completely different team without Embiid in action, and not in a good way. The star center has been outstanding this series thus far against the Wizards, averaging 24 points a game. Embiid’s best showing against Washington came in Game 2, with him dropping 36 points and eight rebounds. That night, Embiid was a head-turning 14-of-18 from the floor.

Right now, the hope is that his knee injury isn’t a serious one and that he’ll be able to get back for Game 6 if Washington ends up winning Game 5. However, look for Ben Simmons and Co. to try and overcome this adversity and wrap up the series. Then, Embiid will be ready to try and return for Game 1 of the conference semifinals.
