2. Eric Bieniemy

Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has been a name thrown around for a slew of head coaching spots in the past couple years. He’s absolutely searching for a team to lead from the head-coaching position, and Chicago could be a great landing spot.

The chance to develop a young, high-potential quarterback into a franchise player en route to becoming a playoff team has to be enticing to Bieniemy. Though he is certainly no Patrick Mahomes, Fields has the powerful arm and shifty legs that Bieniemy knows how to work with. Deep balls and dual-threat running is the type of quarterback play that Bieniemy can use to create magic.

Chicago would love Bieniemy, but would Bieniemy love Chicago? Though he might like the midwest after spending nine seasons with Kansas City and a stint before that in Minnesota, there will likely be a number of more promising coaching vacancies for Bieniemy to fill after this season. For such a high-value candidate, the Bears simply might not have enough to offer.
