Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow responds to the LSU football program parting ways with Ed Orgeron at the end of the college season.
Joe Burrow and Ed Orgeron were on top of the world two years ago after leading the LSU football program to its fourth national title in school history.
It is amazing how much has changed since then. Burrow went No. 1 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft. He tore his ACL mid-season but has bounced back to lead this upstart Cincinnati team, possibly back to the playoffs.
As for Orgeron, the LSU program has collapsed since winning it all and has agreed to buyout Orgeron’s contract and seek a new head coach at the end of the season.
Burrow was quick to offer his touching sentiments for his former college coach who took a chance on him when he transferred to LSU.

Former LSU football star Joe Burrow reacts to Ed Orgeron news
Even though it was almost two years ago, what Burrow said at the podium about Coach O when accepting the Heisman Trophy is a moment college football fans will never forget.
A quarterback who was deemed not good enough to start games at Ohio State transferred to LSU to play for the one head coach who believed in him.
What Burrow did at LSU in 2019 was the stuff of legend.
While Burrow has bounced back with Cincinnati, perhaps Orgeron will find success elsewhere, too?
