Michigan State football Twitter account put Taylor Lewan in a bodybag after he guaranteed a Michigan win

Former Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Taylor Lewan is getting trolled by the official Michigan State Spartans football Twitter account. 

It’s generally a risky thing to guarantee that something will happen in sports. Often, that will come back to blow up right in your face. After former Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Taylor Lewan guaranteed that the Wolverines would win, they fell a little short.

Now Lewan is hearing about it on Twitter.

Lewan, currently with the Tennessee Titans, played for Michigan from 2009 though 2013. During that timeframe, Michigan only won once, in 2012. He acknowledged that during his prediction, but then he followed it up by saying that Michigan State would get “donkeyed at home in East Lansing.”

He then very politely found some ways to insinuate profanities and take some shots at Michigan State.

And despite Lewan’s confidence and belief in Michigan, the Wolverines’ defense, and the developing offense, the Spartans came back from being down 30-14 late in the third quarter to eventually win 37-33.

Spartans running back Kenneth Walker III had a phenomenal game, rushing right through the defense that Lewan touted. In total, Walker ran for 197 yards an an astonishing five touchdowns on 23 carries. Michigan’s former offensive lineman probably isn’t too happy about that.

One topic Lewan was absolutely right about was how Michigan’s passing attack was improving. Wolverines quarterback Cade McNamara completed 28-of-44 passes (63.6 percent) for 383 yards and two touchdowns.

But Lewan definitely wasn’t right about which team would come out on top. It’s hard to fault him though considering how this was a rivalry game and bizarre things often happen in these sorts of contests.
