Pittsburgh Steelers fans are going wild on Twitter after a report has surfaced stating the team will trade for Deshaun Watson.

As wild as the week has been in terms of quarterbacks getting traded, could one more bomb be on the way? If you ask former signal-caller Shaun King, some major news could be on the way for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to King, his sources are telling him that Pittsburgh will make a move and trade for former Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Fasten your seatbelts, Steelers fans.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be ready to trade for Deshaun Watson

First, everyone will be waiting to see what happens on Friday with Watson, as his sexual assault case will be presented in front of a grand jury. Depending on what happens there, as King mentioned in his tweet, then we could see a quick turnaround in Pittsburgh acquiring Watson.

The star signal-caller missed the entire 2021 campaign due to his legal troubles, as multiple women came out and alleged sexual assault and misconduct. With Watson away from the gridiron, the Texans were terrible last season and their play was hard to watch.

Watson is now waiting to see what happens in front of the grand jury. Despite his status being a bit up in the air, he’s been linked this week with potential trades to Seattle, Carolina and now Pittsburgh.

When healthy and on the field, Watson is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the game. However, NFL teams interested in trading for him want to see what happens in the courtroom first before putting together a package for Houston. Fans should find out in the near future what will happen with Watson, but King is already predicting a move to the AFC North.

After King’s report got everyone buzzing on Twitter, it didn’t take long for others to come in and refute the information.

Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette chimed in on the conversation to say that the Steelers are not, in fact, interested in Watson.

With the way things are moving with quarterbacks right now in the NFL, who knows what to believe. But at least one person connected to the NFL is hearing that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Deshaun Watson could be a reality.
