With another fascinating victory, the Saint Peter’s Peacocks have advanced to the Elite Eight where they will face the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Another round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, another thrilling win for the Saint Peter’s Peacocks. Saint Peter’s, a 15 seed, has made history by making it all the way to the Elite Eight. After taking care of the Kentucky Wildcats in the opening round, the Peacocks have handled the Murray State Racers and the Purdue Boilermakers to advance all the way to the Elite Eight.

This is uncharted territory for a team like Saint Peter’s, but it’s been a joy to watch the Peacocks thrive, even if they have busted just about everyone’s brackets. Now things will get interesting for the Peacocks as they prepare to face off against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

North Carolina, a traditional college basketball blue blood, has high expectations and national title aspirations regularly. The Tar Heels have played well and have shown that they can compete at a high level. How will they fare when they face the Peacocks?

Here’s what you need to keep up with Saint Peter’s and North Carolina.

Saint Peter’s vs. North Carolina game time

The Tar Heels and the Peacocks will get started at 5:05 p.m ET on Sunday, March 27. The game is taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. CBS will have the broadcast for the game, but those who prefer to stream can do so at fubo.tv.

Saint Peter’s vs. North Carolina prediction

Saint Peter’s has found a way to surpass all reasonable expectations by making it to the Elite Eight. What’s fascinating about the Peacocks is, so far, the stage has never seemed too big for the team from the small school.

While underdogs and Cinderella stories often get overshadowed and ended by more prominent programs that are used to competing in these situations, Saint Peter’s has looked right at home in the NCAA Tournament. Don’t expect the Peacocks to be easily overwhelmed when they face off against North Carolina.

The Tar Heels have some incredible talent that should be able to give them the advantage over the Peacocks. Guys like Armando Bacot and Caleb Love have both demonstrated they are able to take over a game at any given time and thrive. That said, with the way Saint Peter’s hot streak is going right now, it’s hard to pick against them in a close game.

Prediction: Saint Peter’s wins 72-70
