1. Is Bradley Beal a possibility?

The only reason this is so far down on the list is the unlikelihood it actually happens. Sure, there are the reports that Joel Embiid was hoping to bring in Bradley Beal before the 76ers decided to acquire James Harden. Some believe that Beal wants to land in Philadelphia. If that’s the case, the 76ers should go above and beyond to make it happen.

Adding Beal now in a possible Harris sign-and-trade (including other more significant pieces) would put the 76ers right back into the championship conversation. It gives them two legit options, and it hides a lot of the flaws holding James Harden back. It takes off a lot of the pressure from the 76ers current stars, and it finds something the team doesn’t currently have. If Embiid isn’t scoring, the 76ers aren’t scoring. Beal solves that.

Obviously, it would cost quite a bit to make happen. Beal is technically a free agent, but the Wizards are planning for him to be back. They won’t trade him with an extension within the Eastern Conference for just anything. That’s especially true when expecting them to take on the rest of Harris’ contract.

Beal could just leave in free agency, but it would cost him tens of millions of dollars to do so. It also doesn’t fix the 76ers issue with Tobias Harris. The 76ers will want to make a move here, and this could reopen the team’s championship window swiftly.
