
4. Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Look, I’m not saying the Bengals’ budding superstar quarterback who just made the Super Bowl is going to be a bad fantasy quarterback, but he’s being drafted as the QB6 so far in drafts. He finished as the QB8 last year, and even that was inflated by a couple of massive games.
Through the first 12 weeks of the season, Joe Burrow was the QB12. He was waiver wire and bye week fill-in material for most of the season. He then had two top-three weeks against Baltimore in Week 16 and Kansas City in Week 17, which brought him up into the top-eight range.
Burrow is likely headed for a top-ten finish, but I wouldn’t draft him over players such as Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, or Matthew Stafford, who have much higher upside at a discounted cost compared to Burrow.
