The NFL rumors are wild after a crazy day and we have updates on Aaron Rodgers and the Jets, the Chiefs at WR and where Allen Robinson could land.

Franchise tag deadline day in the NFL turned out to be as wild as expected. The Baltimore Ravens put the non-exclusive tag on Lamar Jackson, potentially paving the way for the quarterback to find a new home as he can negotiate with new teams (though it won’t be the Falcons like many expected). Elsewhere, Daniel Jones got the bag and Saquon Barkley got the tag with the Giants. Oh yeah, and let’s not forget the Aaron Rodgers trade to the Jets starting to materialize.

With that, you know the NFL rumors started going around, whether it was with Jackson and where he could end up, what the word is on the Rodgers deal, or a number of other things.

So what’s the buzz around the league that you might’ve missed amid the bigger NFL rumors? We’ve got you covered with some big-time items that you need to keep an eye on.

NFL Rumors: Allen Robinson landing spots after WR allowed to seek trade

On the heels of the Rams winning the Super Bowl, they made the decision to try and upgrade at wide receiver opposite of Cooper Kupp, essentially swapping Robert Woods for Allen Robinson. Among many issues in Los Angeles this past season, that move turned out to be disastrous. Robinson had one of the worst seasons in his career and is now apparently on his way out of LA.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported this week that Robinson has been granted permission to seek a trade and that the Rams would even be willing to eat some of his $15.25 million salary in order to make a deal happen.

The market for Robinson might be much more tepid than it would’ve been this time last year after his poor production with the Rams. Having said that, the 29-year-old could simply need a change of scenery and a place where he can be a No. 1 option for an offense, or at least a top option in a functional offense, which LA was often not in the 2022 season.

So which teams could pursue Robinson on the trade market?

The Green Bay Packers would make a ton of sense as they potentially move into the Jordan Love era and look for options that could complement Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. Robinson would do that. Meanwhile, the New York Giants are desperately needy at the position, as are the New England Patriots. Teams such as the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens have been mentioned as landing spots as well.
