The New York Jets lost out on wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Baltimore Ravens. Here are three moves the team can make to help Aaron Rodgers.

The New York Jets got a huge win this offseason, and that was they got quarterback Aaron Rodgers to agree to play for them. The thing is, now they have to negotiate a trade with the Green Bay Packers, but Douglas has expressed confidence that the four-time NFL MVP will be in New York.

This offseason, the Jets have been bringing in some additional help for Rodgers, including former Packers teammate Allen Lazard and ex-Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman. But, they were still looking to bring in a big-name player in Odell Beckham Jr., and were actually set to meet with him on Monday. There was one problem — Beckham signed elsewhere the day before the scheduled meeting.

On Sunday, Beckham agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year contract that is worth up to $18 million. According to SNY’s Connor Hughes, Beckham called the Jets to as them to match the Ravens’ offer, but they declined.

Adding Beckham was more of a luxury for the Jets than anything. But, they are trying to appease Rodgers. Here are three moves the team can make after losing out on Beckham.

Jets rumors: 3 moves to make for Aaron Rodgers after losing Odell Beckham Jr., No. 3: Use a draft pick on a WR

Luckily for the Jets, the 2023 NFL Draft is only a couple of weeks away. They can explore bringing in a young wide receiver with upside to help fill out the team’s positional depth chart. Luckily for them, they don’t have to use a first-round pick on one.

The Jets have two first-round picks, back-to-back (No. 42 and 43) this year after trading Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns. Based off a report from Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson, the Jets are likely to give up a second-round pick in 2023 and a second-round pick in 2024 to the Packers in an Aaron Rodgers trade. So, they have a second-rounder to work with this year.

Names like Boston College’s Zay Flowers and USC’s Jordan Addison are undoubtedly going to be off the board by the time the second round hits. But, New York has some solid options they can add in the second-round, such as Tennessee’s Jalin Hyatt, North Carolina’s Josh Downs or Ole Miss’ Jonathan Mingo.
