Raiders Rumors: 3 risky trades to make with 49ers for Trey Lance

Trade Number 2: The Raiders offer a young safety plus two valuable picks in exchange for Trey Lance
The 49ers have a few key needs going into the Draft next weekend, and one of them is at safety. Sure, the Niners are set with two key starters in Tashaun Gipson and Talanoa Hufanga. But, the former of the two veterans almost decided to retire before coming back to the 49ers this offseason.
Gipson is back on a 1-year deal, proving he’s only interested in running it back once to try and win it all before likely calling it a career. With that in mind, the Raiders could send current starting safety and former second-round pick, Trevon Moehrig, to the 49ers in the same exact deal we discussed previously.
San Francisco still gets their two second-rounders, but they also get much-needed depth at safety. Moehrig goes from starter to reserve, but probably not for long. So long as he’s fine with a winning organization, he’ll be fine moving to a reserve role before taking over as a starter in 2024. Moehrig is also still on his rookie deal, which helps the 49ers in a big way, here.
