3 Aaron Hicks landing spots for Yankees fans to laugh at

Potential Aaron Hicks landing spot: San Diego Padres
If Yankees fans are tired of seeing a lack of production by Hicks, they have brothers and sisters in frustration in San Diego where the Padres have watched Trent Grisham be a flop this season.
Signed to a one-year, $3.18 million deal for this season, Grisham has struggled mightily (as has the entire Padres offense), slashing .190/.307/.352 in 167 plate appearances. It feels like the dam is about to break when it comes to the patience for Grisham, so could the Padres look for some kind of spark from Hicks and jettison Grisham to make room for him?
Certainly it would be a big chance for the Padres, but entering Sunday at 20-26 and 8.5 games in the division behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, the high-priced Padres are looking for anything to spark them back into contention. Perhaps a new face looking for a new chance could do just that.
A.J. Preller has done stranger things in San Diego, so don’t be surprised if the Padres aren’t already thinking about what Hicks might mean for the post-Memorial Day push in the standings.
