Britt Julious is a contributor to FanSided's Why We Play. As a writer, editor, essayist, and storyteller, Britt's writing focuses on the intersection of culture, politics, diversity, and inclusivity. She's a firm believer in the underdog, and she currently serves as a music critic for the Chicago Tribune. She's written for Pitchfork, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Glamour, The Cut, the New York Times and many others. Britt was an inaugural fellow of the University of Chicago’s Critic’s Table. She's also a recipient of the Studs Terkel award in journalism for her work spotlighting underserved communities. You can usually find her on the dance floor, especially if the DJ is playing Beyoncé or Prince.
