Jaguars New Uniforms: Jacksonville Unveils Uniforms (Photos)
By Josh Sanchez
The Jacksonville Jaguars were ready to shock the world with their “revolutionary” new uniforms. Prior to the official unveiling, we had heard all of the rumors of a military inspired look with two-toned gold and black helmets. The anticipation for the Jaguars new uniforms were high, but we had to see if Nike could pull through and get it right.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Jaguars unveiled the new look and, boy, they hit a home run. Six players — Uche Nwaneri, Marcedes Lewis, Cecil Shorts III, Paul Posluszny, Tyson Alualu and Eugene Monroe — were in attendance for the unveiling. Jaguars’ owner Shad Khan, Nike’s Global Designer Todd Van Horn and head coach Gus Bradley also joined the festivities.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan had a big part in the design, and you can tell with the flashy style. It was also great to see the military influence as a shout out to one of the nation’s biggest military communities.
So just how great and revolutionary were the Jaguars uniforms? Have a look:
What do you think of the Jaguars new look? As expected, it featured a two-tone helmet that starts with a matte black finish and fades to a vibrant gold.
My first reaction? It is very innovative, exciting, and it looks great.
