Some schools just don’t get any respect despite being better than their popular brother in the same state. The Mississippi State Bulldogs have been heading the right direction under Dan Mullen and have won three straight bowl games, but people still don’t know who they are.

An unidentified person that’s been selling T-shirts in Omaha, Nebraska, had Mississippi State confused with that other team in Mississippi.

Hugh Kellenberger from the Clarion Ledger has more details.

"A “Mississippi State Rebels” t-shirt was on sale by a sidewalk vendor in Omaha, where the Mississippi State Bulldogs are preparing to play in the College World Series for the ninth time.A photo of the shirt was out on Twitter and quickly went viral. Mississippi State has said the offending shirts were found and removed."

Yikes. That’s pretty hard to do considering the Rebels haven’t made it to the College World Series since 1972, and they’ve only appeared four times in school history. The Bulldogs have made it to eight different CWS since the last time an Ole Miss team stepped foot in one.

Mississippi State will open up the College World Series on Saturday at TD Ameritrade Park against third-seed Oregon State Beavers. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM ET. Get more information on game times and the TV schedule here.
