Drew Brees Not Involved in Car Accident

There was a ridiculous Internet rumor going around on Friday that went viral and caused New Orleans Saints fans in to a severe state of panic. The rumor stated that Saints quarterback Drew Brees was involved in a car accident and that he suffered broken legs in the crash. Thankfully, the story is 100 percent false. Brees confirmed on Twitter that he is doing fine and that we should not buy in to the story.

Brees wrote:

I am fine. Not sure where the car accident story came from. It is not true. I appreciate everyone’s concern but I am ALL GOOD!

So go on, Saints fans, and know that your starting quarterback will be ready to go for the start of training camp.

If Brees would have been injured, then it would have been a devastating blow to the Saints heading in to the season, but luckily we don’t have to worry about that becoming an issue for the team in 2013. At least not because of broken legs from a car accident.
