Police Take Evidence from Hernandez’s House
By JJ Keller
As part of an ongoing, and seemingly never ending story, police have reportedly removed 10 bags from Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez’s house. This is the second search of the home belonging to Hernandez, a person of interest in a recent homicide investigation.
Per masslive.com:
"Along with the interior, the backyard, a large playhouse and two vehicles parked in the driveway, including a white Audi SUV driven by Hernandez, was searched."
After the search, police emerged with the bags, as well as a cardboard box, all presumably containing evidence for the investigation. Some believe that Hernandez was in the house during the seatch, but he did not exit with the police. That corroborates the report that a warrant was in fact not issued like originally believed.
Only one box of evidence was obtained after the first search of the house on Tuesday, so something has clearly changed in the case for them to have been able to acquire so much more.
This is a continuing story, as I am sure it will be up until the time it is resolved. It is still unclear what Hernandez’s role in the crime was, though it is believed that at the very least he had some knowledge of the murder. Check back here for updates on the case that are sure to come.
