The New Orleans Pelicans reportedly want to unload center Robin Lopez via trade, which is one of many NBA trade rumors circling the team at this point.
Apparently the Portland Trailblazers and Indiana Pacers would like to take the Pelicans up on that rumor of Lopez being available. Here’s Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski via Twitter:
Portland is a possible destination for center Robin Lopez, with Indiana and others on a short list in pursuit, league sources tell Y!

Part of this of course has to do with Tyreke Evans, as Rotoworld pointed out Monday:
"If the Kings determine that they won’t match the offer sheet for Evans, a restricted FA, they might settle for a sign-and-trade which brings Lopez to Sacramento. RoLo’s departure would leave the Pelicans perilously thin at center, with Jason Smith, Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson as their primary big men, though presumably GM Dell Demps has a few tricks up his sleeve."
Lopez would be a nice piece for both the Trailblazers and Pacers, especially with the latter getting a bit thin on depth with the fact Tyler Hansbrough won’t be back with the team.
Keep an eye on this one as Lopez is finally starting to throw his name in the ring as trade bait.
