According to a handful of sources, namely Yahoo Sports and NBA.com, the Golden State Warriors have agreed to a trade with the Utah Jazz that will send both of the expiring contracts of Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins to Salt Lake in exchange for

Per Yahoo:

"Golden State has reached agreement with Utah on a trade to unload salary, league sources tell Y! Sports."

Per David Aldridge of NBA.com:

"Source says the Warriors are sending Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson to the Jazz. Checking on what they’re getting back."

As of right now, there’s no word on what the Warriors will be receiving in return.

The move was made so the Warriors could sign free agent Andre Iguodala to a four year, $48 million dollar contract. This still leaves the door open for a Dwight Howard sign and trade scenario. The Los Angeles Lakers have expressed a desire for a sign and trade and would like some combination of Harrison Barnes or Klay Thompson in return.

We will update the trade once we know of the Warriors return, if anything.

Update #1 – Brandon Rush has been traded to Utah as well:

"The Warriors cleared the cap space by trading the expiring contracts of Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush to Utah. The deal may include multiple picks as well."

Update #2 – Warriors sending multiple draft picks to Utah, including a 2014 first rounder.
