San Diego Chargers’ Philip Rivers flagged after screaming at referee (GIF)

San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is a pretty nice guy off the field (and on it, for that matter) though he’s a bit of a hot head and has a tendency to whine. That pissing and moaning ofter leads to most non-Charger fans disliking the former North Carolina State signal caller – not exactly shocking.

Rivers gave a prime example of why so many have a distaste for the quarterback today when he launched a verbal attack towards a referee who had just denied the Chargers a touchdown moments earlier.

Rivers had just thrown a touchdown passed to wide receiver Eddie Royal, but it was called back after Royal was charged with offensive pass interference. As you can see, that didn’t sit well with Rivers who had a mini explosion on any referee within his line of vision.

Even worse? Between the pass interference and Rivers’ unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, they went from first and goal to first and thirty plus in the span of one play. Talk about a bad fifteen second stretch.

I’m going to disagree with you here. It was a bogus call and Rivers should have been pissed. It’s time for this team to get fired up!

i agree, however Rivers time is better spent getting his team ready for the next play. Nobody has ever won a decision by arguing with a referee.

Maybe the chargers should have added the titans to their “radar”
        Bwahahhahhahah!!!!!

So a touchdown called back for offensive interference, same play that was a no call the other way to end the game end

LOL that wasn’t PI. That DB was in horrible position. couldn’t even catch the ball in the sky and time his jump right. Dude lost the matchup. Get over it. WR Barely pushed him off.

Just like that saints game last year. Chargers robbed.

Nothing new here… Phil Rivers is being a crybaby bitch again. How does 1-2 feel? New coach, same team, same results…
