The San Diego Chargers will likely get to finally see their prized middle linebacker this Sunday, as Manti Te’o is expected to make his NFL debut vs the Dallas Cowboys:

He originally injured his foot in the August 8 preseason opener, and has missed every game since then.

Te’o, the No. 38 overall pick of April’s draft, earned the start at inside linebacker for the Chargers but recorded no tackles in two series of action in the preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks before being injured.

He hasn’t practiced much since then either, so he’ll likely be pretty rusty vs the Boys, and quarterback Tony Romo and running back DeMarco Murray will look to attack him early and often in the contest.

Still, the San Diego defense has struggled in the first three games of the season.  They have allowed the second most yards per game in the NFL (470.7 yards) and have only caused one turnover, so anything Te’o can bring to the table will be a nice boost.
