Houston Texans Arian Foster has mild hamstring pull, status unclear
By Bryan Rose
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury for quite a while, an injury that reoccurred during the first quarter of the Texans’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Foster, who had sat out practice with the injury was taken out of the game and would not return. Now, according to Ian Rapoport, Foster has been officially diagnosed with a mild hamstring pull, though the team won’t apparently know his availability until late in the week:
"#Texans RB Arian Foster has what is being described as a “mild” hamstring pull. Won’t know if he’ll miss time until Wed or Thurs practice"
Also injured in the Texans’ loss was backup running back Ben Tate, so clearly, the Houston backfield is a bit of a mess right now and a starter will likely be determined by who is most healthy come the end of the week.
The Texans are currently riding a five game losing streak, with a benched quarterback and their top two runners out of action.
Tough times.
