The Houston Texans have released three players this weekend: running back Cierre Wood, defensive end Sam Montgomery and outside linebacker Willie Jefferson. According to Houston Chronicle’s John McClain, they violated team rules at their Kansas City hotel.
What rule they violated hasn’t been clarified yet. Could have been curfew or missing meetings. All we know right now is that they released them for violating team rules.
Wood could’ve come in handy considering the Texans’ new depth concerns at running back. Arian Foster and Ben Tate both suffered injuries in the loss.
Texans waived RB Cierre Wood, DE Sam Montgomery, OLB Willie Jefferson. Sources say they violated team rules at KC hotel. Got sent home.

Texans need a veteran ILB 2 replace Brian Cushing. They also need a 3rd RB. Obviously, Gary Kubiak doesn't take kindly to rules violations.
