The New York Giants thought the Monday Night Football match up against the Minnesota Vikings was going there way early on. They opened the game with a 17-play, 68 yard drive, that ate up 9 and a half minutes, netted them three points. Just a field goal, but points nonetheless.

It wasn’t exactly a three-and-out but the Giants held the Vikings and forced a punt getting a stop. The Giants weren’t able to do much on their next drive either, but they were still up 3-0, until they punted that is.

Steve Weatherford sent one deep, but Vikings return man Marcus Sherels took it to the house, 86 yards in total, for a touchdown. To make matters worse, their punter got them a 15 yard penalty for a horse collar tackle as Sherels crossed the goal line.
