This game between the Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens faced almost a two hour weather delay which seemed to have given Chicago what it needed to recover.
Before the weather delay, this defense struggled. They allowed over 20 plays offensively for the Ravens as Chicago had only 23 yards of total offense. Since then, Chicago looks to be getting things together now that the wind isn’t as bad but the turf took a beating.
We have players sliding all over the place, hoping to keep their footing.
Now Chicago needed something to happen quick, fast and in a hurry on defense. On their previous drive, the Bears drove over 90 yards and had over six attempts to try to put up six points but were unable to do so.
On Baltimore’s next drive Flacco went to dump off a pass to Vonta Leach but it was tipped by rookie defensive end David Bass who was able to keep his focus on the ball, pull it in and return it for a touchdown.
Joe Flacco hasn’t thrown more than 12 interceptions in a season, but has thrown 12 already with six games left to play.
Baltimore’s leading Chicago 17-10 with under two minutes left in the second quarter.
