The punches just keep on coming for the struggling Brooklyn Nets. Last night late in the fourth quarter they had a chance to tie or win the game late. First, Nets head coach Jason Kidd asked a player to bump into him so he’d spill a drink and get an extra time out.

With that extra time out, the Nets players tried to come up with a last second play to win the game since they were trailing by two points with 8.3 seconds left. The Nets players or coaches didn’t notice two Lakers players, Steve Blake and Xavier Henry, sneak into their huddle and listen to the whole play.

Henry is kind of lingering behind the team and looking over their shoulders. Blake is right in the thick of the huddle, and Kevin Garnett is even leaning over his shoulder to look at the play being drawn up. As they break the huddle you can see Garnett look at Blake, and as he starts to look away he does a quick double take. It looks like Garnett confronts Blake but by that point it was too late. Kidd had run out of drinks to spill.

I almost could see how Garnett thought it was head coach Jason Kidd’s shoulder. The bald head and black uniform could’ve passed for Kidd in a suit. Not so surprisingly, the Nets went on to lose the game.
