I can’t believe it’s been almost two weeks since Prince Fielder was traded from the Detroit Tigers to the Texas Rangers for Ian Kinsler.

Now I know the Rangers are still listening to offers for both Elvis Andrus and Jurickson Profar, but I don’t this team is going to let either one of them go.

But what if David Price is offered? That could actually be an interesting trade package.

I’m pretty sure the Texas Rangers wouldn’t mind having a 2012 Cy Young winning pitcher in their rotation next to their 2013 runner up. But the asking price may be way too much for the Rangers to remain interested in Price’s talent.

Yes the Rangers do mean business and want to get back to the World Series once again, but I’m not sure if they’re that desperate. He is a big time arm that could help out this team and he would fill in Matt Garza’s spot nicely.

Price has had his name thrown around the rumor mill for some time now, so something has to give.

In the end, I doubt anything happens between David Price and the Texas Rangers. They’re already going to have to chew up the rest of Prince Fielder’s long term contract and would more than likely have to give up some pitchers who are Major League ready.

I’m sure they would like to keep a hold of the guys they have in their farm system.
