On Sunday, Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was caught crying on camera during the national anthem. They weren’t tearing up or getting a little misty eyed, they were full blown tears.

“The emotion always gets to me,” he told Yahoo! Sports. “I am just thinking about everything in general through your whole life, just balled up into one. Yeah, it helps me. Sometimes I don’t even notice it, it just comes.”

His teammates doesn’t think it is is odd either, in fact it is normal.

“The [tears] are actually toughness,” said rookie running back Montee Ball. “I see it all the time. He does it in practice and he does it in games. It is all heart, it is his passion for the game. It is massive. We all feed off that energy. A lot of stuff sets him off. He just brings that energy when we need it.”

Moreno had 15 carries for just 18 yards on Sunday, but he did have four catches for 74 yards. More importantly for the Broncos, they got the win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
