The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers have found themselves in a defensive battle in Green Bay.

Both teams are hoping to reach the playoffs, with the Packers looking to pick up the NFC North in the final two games of the season. It’ll be a hard fought war in the last two weeks but it’ll be worth it when you reach the playoffs.

Now it doesn’t happen all that often, but the Steelers were able to pull it off in the third quarter of today’s game. A fake punt that went for a first down.

Punter  Mat McBriar took the snap and instead of driving the ball down field, he found tight end David Paulson down field for a 30 yard pick up.

It’s late in the year, so why not pull something like this out of your bag of tricks and see if it works? Luckily for them, it went according to plan.

Pittsburgh currently leads Green Bay by three points.

Here’s a look at the trick play run by the special teams unit.
