There has been some discussion about whether or not the Tennessee Titans would be bringing back running back Chris Johnson next season or whether they would part ways as they look to rebuild the roster.

While we will have to wait a while before knowing if the team will cut Johnson loose, the former 2,000 yard rusher admits that he may have played his last down as a member of the team.

“I gave a thought to that … about this possibly being my last game in a Tennessee uniform,” Johnson said, via the Tennessean. “You know, you give it thought, but at the end of the day, you can’t let that affect how you play in the game. Only I could control the game today. I just put all my focus on that.”

Tennessee will have a new coach in 2014, so they may decide that Johnson will be the focal point of the team’s offense next season, but they could also choose to go in a different direction with a younger group of skill players.
