The Denver Broncos are currently preparing to take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game and they recently received some bad news about the status of one of their top defensive backs, Chris Harris, who tore his ACL last weekend against the San Diego Chargers.

With Denver needing to replace Harris and get a player with a good understanding of Tom Brady and the Patriots offense, the Broncos decided to kill two birds with one stone by signing former Patriots cornerback Marquice Cole.

Cole played 13 games with the Patriots this season, so he will certainly be able to give the Broncos some inside knowledge on what they are about to face.

In order to clear room for the Cole signing, the Broncos officially placed defensive end Derek Wolfe on the injured reserve list.
