Tiger is asked questions about Jack, and Jordan is asked questions about Tiger.  That’s the way is goes when you have a win and four second place finishes as a twenty-year-old phenom.

Jordan Spieth leads the Farmers Insurance Open after shooting a bogey-free 63 on the North course.  Spieth said putting was the difference maker in the second round, “tee to green I actually hit the ball a little better yesterday….I just putted extremely well today.

Spieth shot an opening round one-under 71 on the South course, and leads at 10-under total.

In the post-round press conference, Spieth was peppered with questions about Tiger.  When asked about Tiger’s 79 wins on the PGA Tour, Spieth said, “That’s something I’m obviously striving for.”  However, Spieth is focused on winning this week, “I’m here for tomorrow and Sunday…if you can focus on each tournament round, the rest will take care of itself.”

First round leader Stewart Cink is in second place at nine-under total after a one-under 71 on the South Course.  Cink said, “I was really proud of the way I hung in there today.”

Nicolas Colsaerts is in third place after a brilliant five-under 67 on the South.  Colsaerts was bogey-free, and is ready to take on the South course for two more rounds, “It’s one of the best courses we play all year, probably one of the courses that suits my game the best.”

Billy Horschel and Marc Leishman are tied for fourth at seven-under par.  Horschel shot five-under on the North, and Leishman shot one-under on the South.

Tiger Woods was stumped on the par-5s for the second straight day.  He shot one-under 71 on the North, and was one-over on the par-5s.  Despite the poor start, Tiger is confident he can get back into the tournament, “Hopefully I can get off to a quick start tomorrow, and get to 5 [under], and then get going from there.”

Tiger is nine shots back of Spieth at one-under total.

Phil Mickelson only hit eight greens, and needed to scramble his way to a 73.  His back continues to lock up, forcing him to alter his swing.  Phil is concerned with his long-term health, and will make a decision tonight about potentially withdrawing from the tournament.

Phil is tied for 32nd at two-under total.
