Oh man. Talk about an evil wager.

An Alabama fan was so confident his Crimson Tide would defeat the Auburn Tigers in the 2013 Iron Bowl, he decided to make a relatively dicey bet with his friends. If Auburn could somehow come out victorious, he would pierce his belly button and wear a Tigers charm.

His friend apparently made the same bet if the Crimson Tide would have won according to the e-mail sent to Fox Sports’ Outkick the Coverage.

"The bets began innocently such as singing the other teams fight song, buying the other guys drinks all night and have slowly progressed. They are now getting to a dangerous level. In 2006 the bet was shaved heads, that’s when we found out one friend was bald because his hair never grew back. They each have tattoos of the other teams colors. Since this year’s Iron Bowl was boring with not much on the line (sarcasm font), they made a bet to attempt to keep everyone’s interest in the game and bet belly button rings."

Oh my.

Insult to injury. He goes from one of the most heart breaking losses ever recorded to having a hole punched in his stomach, featuring a woman’s charm of an arch rival.

On the flip side – how relieved was the Auburn fan? Hope he bought a lotto ticket that night.
